Premier league football clubs in London
There are seven London-based teams: Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham, Brentford, Crystal Palace, and Fulham.
The only previous occasion in which seven London clubs participated in the Premier League was in 1994–95. Tottenham, Queens Park Rangers, Arsenal, Chelsea, Wimbledon, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace all competed in England’s top flight that season.
Chelsea won the Premier League in 2016–17, the last time a London club did. Chelsea and Arsenal are the only two London clubs to have won the Premier League in its 30-year period.

Arsenal football Club
In 1886, Arsenal FC originated as a works team called Dial Square, whose members were blacksmiths who fashioned weapons; thus, the club’s nickname, “the Gunners.” Following this, the club transitioned into professional status and adopted the name Woolwich Arsenal. In 1893, it was admitted as a full-fledged member of the Football League, becoming the first club from the southern regions of the country to do so.
Arsenal has won 13 leagues, 14 FA Cups, 2 League Cups, 17 Community Shields, and 1 football league centenary Trophy which is more than the football clubs in London on the list.
Fans have come to recognise the club’s home field, the Emirates Stadium, as a sign of its success.

Chelsea football Club
Chelsea Football Club was Established in 1905, based in Fulham, west London. An English investor named Gus Mears bought Chelsea. He had already bought the Stamford Bridge athletic stadium with plans to turn it into a football field.
When Roman Abramovic bought Chelsea, the football club went from being one of the worst teams among London football clubs to one of the most decorated teams in the country, with multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, and two Champions League wins, the most recent one coming under Thomas Tuchel in 2021. Tottenham Hotspur football Club
Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal’s biggest rival, was founded on September 5, 1882, when a group of schoolboys from the Tottenham area founded the club. The name Spurs came from the character Harry Hotspur in Shakespeare’s plays. In 1884, two years later, in recognition of the local area, the club was renamed Tottenham Hotspur, and competitive play commenced in earnest. The inaugural documented competitive match occurred in 1885, when St Albans hosted Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in the London Football Association Cup. The London football club Spurs have done so well over the last few years, and they are now in the top six teams in the Premier League. Even though they’ve been playing well, Tottenham hasn’t won the title in more than 50 years.

In 2019, Tottenham Hotspur F.C. moved from White Hart Lane to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

West Ham United football Club
West Ham United was originally known as Thames Ironworks when it was established in 1895. The club’s name was changed to West Ham United in 1900, and it became a member of the Football League (predecessor to the Premier League) in 1919. The FA Cup is the club’s most prized trophy, which it won in 1964, 1975, and 1980.
Following the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, “The Hammers” relocated to London Stadium.

Brentford football Club
Brentford F.C. has spent most of its history in English football’s lower divisions. The London football club was established in 1889 and is most known for its ancient Gryphon Park stadium, which included a bar on each corner. “The Bees” currently plays at the Brentford Community Stadium, which has been home to the football team since 2020. Brentford was promoted to the Premier League for the 2021-2022 season after winning the play-off final against Swansea City. The West London team has been a breath of fresh air for many, with excellent players like Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbuemo demonstrating the club’s swift recruiting.

Crystal Palace football Club
The club was founded in 1905. Workers at Crystal Palace, a sizable glass exhibition hall, created the original version of Crystal Palace, also known as Crystal Palace FC. The club was, however, disbanded in the 1870s. A second club with the same name was created in 1905 in association with the Crystal Palace football stadium, which was erected in 1894.
Fulham football Club
Fulham is the Premier League’s oldest London club, having been formed in 1879. However, Fulham has never won an award in its history. In 1975 and 2010, the Cottagers came close to winning a trophy. Unfortunately, in 1975, the team lost the FA Cup final to West Ham United and, in 2010, the Europa League final to Atlético Madrid.
